Sea salty, herbal, and floral on the nose with hints of vanilla. Salty and spicy on the palate, with vanilla emerging alongside pleasant vegetal notes, giving way to a finish dominated by cracked black pepper.

100% Blue Weber Agave (Agave tequilana), estate-grown in the Tequila Valley, Jalisco. Blended with water from the Tequila volcano.

Traditional production at Destilería El Llano (NOM 1109) in Tequila, Jalisco. Autoclave-cooked agave, fermented in original cement vats. Double-distilled in pot stills. Rested 5 months in used American bourbon barrels (Brown-Forman and Four Roses cooperage). Blended across barrels before bottling, no coloring added. No additives.

The Classica Reposado is one of the more straightforward honest values in the category. At 5 months in used bourbon wood it picks up enough oak influence to round the agave character without obscuring it, and the cement vat fermentation contributes a mineral note that distinguishes it from the smoother, more neutral style of many mass-market reposados. At this price it is a reliable and additive-free option for cocktail use or everyday sipping.

Arette is the project of brothers Eduardo and Jaime Orendain, members of one of the oldest tequila-producing families in Jalisco. The Orendain family has been in the industry since the early 20th century, and their distillery, El Llano, is among the oldest continuously operating facilities in the town of Tequila, located at the base of the Tequila volcano. The Classica line (Blanco, Reposado, Añejo) represents the estate's traditional, entry-level expression, produced without additives and using the family's established production methods. A step up is the Artesanal line, which uses a tighter distillation cut and longer aging, and above that the Unique range.
