Domaine du Pas de l'Escalette was founded by Julien and Delphine Zernott in 2003. Located between Millau and Montpellier in Hérault, the Pas de l'Escalette is the essential and emblematic passage between Larzac and the Mediterranean. Nestled at an altitude of 350 meters at the foot of the Larzac plateau, the estate of around twenty hectares is divided into around fifty terraces on either side of the Pégairolles de l'Escalette and Lauroux valleys. The vineyards are terraced on limestone scree from the Causse plateaus that surround the estate, which is certified organic and biodynamic with Biodyvin.
