Edith & Ida 2024 Chardonnay Lolonis Vineyard, Mendocino

Bright notes of stone fruit, citrus peel, and green pear.

Planted in 1944, this Chardonnay is one of the oldest plantings in the state. A member of the Historic Vineyard Society and CCOF certified the Lolonis Vineyard in Redwood Valley is a gem of a place. 

In the cellar, the grapes are whole cluster pressed then cold settled for 5 days before the juice is moved to neutrals oak barrels to ferment naturally.  Allowed to complete both fermentations, it is filtered before bottling.
