Le Grand Bain is 100% Gamay from Savoie, made by the ancestral method: bottled before fermentation completes, finishing in bottle and capturing its own natural carbonation without dosage or additions.
France Gonzalvez spent her formative years in Beaujolais, starting with half a hectare in 2008 and building to six under the mentorship of Xavier Bénier, Jean-Claude Lapalu, Marcel Lapierre, and Jean-Marc Métras, a foundational education in natural winemaking that earned her wines placement on lists the world over. In 2020 she returned to Savoie, her native region, where she now works with small parcels of Gamay, Jacquère, Mondeuse, and Altesse on steep limestone and glacial moraine slopes at Alpine elevations. Organic farming throughout, with vineyards in conversion to certification. Native yeasts, concrete tanks, no fining or filtration, minimal or no sulfur.
