"A superb blend of Chichibu and world whiskies. The nose has satsuma, lemon zest, thick caramel, spring florals, and candy cola bottles. Creamsicle, malt, bitter coffee, dark chocolate, black cherry, raisin, leather, clove, anise, and Dr Pepper on the palate. The finish has clove and licorice root. It really packs in a lot. Water vanquishes any bitter notes, adding sweeter dark chocolate flavors." – Whiskey Advocate

Aromas of apricot, popcorn toffee, Meyer lemon zest, and vanilla cream transition to a lightly textured palate of toffee, roasted chestnut, and gingerbread with a peppery, honeyed finish.

Ichiro’s Malt & Grain is crafted to balance a heart of Japanese whisky with the complementary nuances of global whiskies, providing a world of depth to contemplate with each sip. In Ichiro’s words, this is an “All-World Whisky.”

Ichiro’s Malt & Grain, a blended whisky created by Chichibu’s founder and master blender Ichiro Akuto. Its first release was in 2011. It’s not just any Japanese blend. Actually, it’s not a Japanese blend at all; it’s a world blended whisky, so it also contains whisky from other countries. In addition to Chichibu it also contains whiskies sourced from distilleries in the United States, Canada, Scotland and Ireland. Which distilleries though remains a mystery.
