Gorgeous, toasted Buckwheat with deep notes of heirloom grain and spun sugar. Our ferment pulls out the fruitier side of the grain, with high notes of poached pear and persimmon.
We are thrilled to introduce our latest collaboration with Kettl. Based in Greenpoint, Brooklyn, Kettl sources and imports exceptionally fine Japanese tea, showcasing a wide range of expressions. Our collaboration highlights the breadth of their offerings, and the richness of Japanese tea itself.
Of the three bottles in our recent collaboration with Kettl, we’d be lying if we said we don’t hold a special place in our hearts for Soba. We don’t have favorite children, but this one is so special.
There’s something to be said about an experiment that surprises you, or an experiment that you expect to fail that winds up succeeding.
We had low hopes that a toasted buckwheat ferment would produce something palatable - much less something hyper expressive, refreshing, deep, nostalgic… the list goes on. This one blew us away, and we’re so proud to share it. We hope you enjoy it as much as we do.
