Maloof 'Wax on, Wax Soif' 2023 Red Blend Applegate Valley Oregon

Light, juicy red with aromas of blueberry, plum, and a hint of white pepper. Fresh and smooth, showing blue and red fruits, gentle tannins, and lively acidity. The finish is clean, with spice & earth. Bright, utterly chillable, and easy-drinking.

40% Grenache, 30% Syrah, and 30% Viognier from Steelhead Run Vineyard in the Applegate Valley AVA of Southern Oregon. Originally planted in 1993, this is a cold, riverside vineyard on granite and river sedimentary soils. The fruit was co-fermented on the skins for 8 days before being pressed to stainless steel to complete primary fermentation. Matured for 8 months in neutral oak. Bottled unfined and unfiltered.

Light bodied red for your late summer blues. Bright and fresh, full of wild raspberries and white pepper. This is the sole red wine we make, and we still managed to throw 10% white fruit in it. This is a little crazy, but this was actually our last pick of the year. The cooler Steelhead run site really bumps out the hang time of Syrah, giving it pretty crazy flavor development capabilities.
