Nue Wilde's Ben Herod sourced organic fruit from the Busalacchi Vineyard to produce this old-school, low-intervention Lodi Cab. Fruit is destemmed but not crushed, in an effort to be light on the grape skins. Fermentation continued slowly. A total of 16 days on the skins; aged in neutral oak barrels; bottled unfined/unfiltered with minimal sulphur added. 

The temperature shift between day and night at this particular vineyard site allows grapes to retain good acid levels while maturing gracefully. Bright, medium-bodied and earthy, with classic cedar, brambly berry fruit, and forest floor undertones. Soft, light tannins and a round, lengthy finish. 

"Our Cabernet Sauvignon is something different. Bright and fresh, it jumps out of the glass with aromas of purple flowers followed by juicy red cherry, currants, and a touch of blueberry. It is an enigma that keeps you returning to your glass for another sip. Not your grandfathers cab, it has great acidity that makes it the perfect pairing for heavier dishes, but it is light enough to enjoy on it’s own."
