45% Carignan, 35% Zinfandel, 15% Grenache Noir, 5% Petit Sirah

Blue and red fruits - blueberry, raspberry, strawberry - with brambly and herbal notes. Bright and fun, generous and balanced, with minerality and dusty tannins. Solid seasonal sippin!

All the vineyards are farmed organically throughout Northern California. Eighty year old, dry-farmed Zinfandel & Carignan from Mendocino. Grenache rooted in decomposed granite in the Sierra Foothills, and Petit Sirah from Sonoma Valley. The wines were aged in primarily 300 gallon flex tanks with a portion in neutral French oak barrels. The wines were blended in January 2025 with 25ppm SO2 added and bottled in February 2025.

Populis was born from the desire to make lighthearted, naturally made, extremely drinkable wines from organically farmed, historic vineyard sites throughout Northern California.

Farming: All the farming is performed strictly according to organic principles and the utmost of care and respect is paid to the local environment.
