Scar of the Sea 'Bassi Vineyard' 2025 Gamay SLO Coast

There are two Grenache plots at Bassi, planted in 2017 and 2021, and this is our first bottling of this wine. Grown on south facing sandy soils with ocean peekaboo views. The grapes were picked on October 3rd and fermented with native yeast and 60% whole cluster for 3 weeks. The wine was then pressed in our wooden basket press and aged in neutral French oak barrels for 10 months. The wine was racked for the first time for bottling and a small amount of sulfur was added to capture the energy of the wine.
