Powerful, rich, distinctive. Sweet tobacco, cedar, spice, leather, and earthy notes give the Sky much of its complex, multifaceted personality. Bountiful black cherry and mountain berry with Zin's signature pepper/spice notes accompany the brightness of the Sky fruit.

Sky Vineyard makes real, honest, mountain Zins (and a little Syrah) 2100 feet up in Mt Veeder's red, volcanic soils. Lore Olds (yes, you can call these wines "Olds' school") has, since 1973, dry farmed naturally, with organic fertilizers, cover crops, birds, and beneficial insects rather than chemical inputs. He crushes in an old wooden basket press, punches down by hand and ages the wines in old French oak.
