Terah Wine Co. "Paicines Ranch Vineyard" 2024 Rosé California
750ml bottle
12.25% abv
50% Syrah, 50% Grenache
Bright and expressive, bursting with aromas of sweet strawberries, raspberries, and a touch of fresh herbs. On the palate, zippy acidity balances delicate notes of rose petal, while a mineral-driven core adds texture and depth.
Hand-harvested early to preserve freshness. The grapes were foot-tread and gently pressed after about an hour of maceration for color. The wine was allowed to settle overnight followed by racking the next day. Native yeast fermentation was conducted in stainless steel. After native malolactic fermentation, the wine was racked and aged in stainless for 5 months before bottling. Unfined and unfiltered, expect some sediment.
Sourced from Paicines Ranch in the Central Coast AVA. A regenerative ranch that not only has a small vineyard that is CCOF-certified organic, but it also is a habitat for a diverse group of animals and food products. The ranch's mission is to regenerate diverse ecosystems from the soil up and is leading the charge in regenerative agriculture in California. It's one of the most exciting new vineyards I am working with and the quality shows even in these young vines, which were planted in 2017.
