Lively and refreshing. The nose shows lemon leaf, grapefruit pith, and fresh fennel with a hint of tropical fruit. The palate has layers of texture and an oily finish that adds depth to its saline minerality. 

The 2024 Vermentino from Clements Hills is a vibrant expression of this Mediterranean varietal, shaped by the region’s warm days and cooling delta breezes. The Bench Vineyard was planted in 2012 and is farmed with organic and biodynamic principles and has obtained both certifications through CCOF and Demeter.

Hand harvested, these grapes were whole-cluster pressed and allowed to settle overnight with a light racking. Native yeast fermentation was carried out in stainless steel. After malolactic fermentation, the wine was racked and aged for 5 months in stainless steel before bottling. Unfined and unfiltered, expect some sediment.
