UNTI 2025 Vermentino Dry Creek Valley
750ml bottle
13.6% ABV
Classic nose of orchard fruit and herbs. Crushed seashell & crisp pear on the palate, with driving acidity, saline minerality, and hints of dried herbs on the long, alluring finish.
100% Vermentino. Nearly 4 acres planted to three clones: original Provençal clone and two Ligurian clones planted 2018. Organically farmed, biodynamic practices since 2004.
Unti estate, Dry Creek Valley, Healdsburg, Sonoma County. Gravelly, sandy loam soils. Dry Creek Valley's diurnal temperature variation between warm days and cold nights is cited by the producer as the defining advantage for Mediterranean white varieties on this site.
Fermented and aged in stainless steel and concrete tanks.
Unti Vineyards was established by George Unti in 1997 in Dry Creek Valley, focusing exclusively on estate-grown Mediterranean varieties. Mick Unti and winemaker Jason Valenti now lead the operation. Biodynamic practices introduced 2004, organic farming across the 60-acre estate. The Vermentino program draws on Provençal and Ligurian clones, reflecting the estate's commitment to sourcing plant material directly from the variety's Mediterranean origins. The winery describes its approach to Vermentino as modeled on Fabio Lambruschi of Colli di Luni: clean, precise, traditional, with all fermentation and aging in stainless steel and no malolactic conversion.
