Ruby red in the glass. Notes of black fruit with structured tannins, lovely freshness, and a silky finish. Crunchy vibrant Cabernet Franc from Muscadet.

100% Cabernet Franc. Vineyards scattered across four communes (Monnières, Gorges, Maisdon-sur-Sèvre, and Mouzillon) on the left bank of the Sèvre and right bank of the Maine, on gneiss and gabbro soils. 25 hectares total, 50 parcels across 14 kilometres. Organic farming with biodynamic practices.

Native yeast fermentation. Extended lees aging. Large vessel aging in tank and barrel. 

Vincent uses lees ageing, large vessels, extended ageing in tank and barrel, and is principally biodynamic in his practices. He is located in Monnieres, in the heart of Sèvre et Maine, and has amassed some of the finest vineyards in the region. He now reckons he has the perfect combination of terroirs, highlighting the complexity that the gneiss and gabbro soils of the region can produce.

In 2024, his daughters Emmanuelle and Clarisse joined the family firm, helping Vincent in the vineyard and cellar, adding much needed support to allow Vincent to focus on his beloved vines.

There is a Native American legend about the hummingbird, a friend to the flowers. As the story goes, one day, a massive forest fire broke out. All the animals, terrified and devastated, watched the disaster unfold, helpless to intervene. Only the tiny hummingbird busied itself, fetching a few drops of water in its beak to cast upon the flames. After a while, the armadillo, annoyed by these seemingly futile efforts, said: "Hummingbird! Have you lost your mind? Do you really think you can put out the fire with those few drops of water?" "I know," the hummingbird replied, "but I am doing my part."

The way the vineyards at Domaine le Fay d’Homme are managed, following organic farming principles, is based on this same philosophy. We cannot save the planet on our own, but we do our part.
